Because it is so popular and attracts applicants from across North America, it's important that you understand what you need to do to be accepted into this exciting adventure program.
Below are the key steps you need to take to fully meet the admission requirements. Follow all the steps and we'll see you at the next Program Readiness Camp where you will participate in some fun and exciting activities at Wilderess Tours Resort.

- Submit Confidential Health Assessment form, supplied by Algonquin College and completed by a medical professional (i.e. family doctor)
- Participation in Program Readiness Camp
(Next Camp: May 11-12 OR May 18-19, 2008)

Before registering in the program, accepted applicants must:
Applicants who have met Step I of the above (College Eligibility and Program Eligibility requirements) and submit the required Resume, Letters of Intent, and References, will be assessed and ranked.
Participants at Readiness Camp 
Based on that evaluation, some applicants will be invited to a Program Readiness Camp. The final camp will be held on August 18, 2008 and participation is mandatory for those who wish to be considered.
At least two weeks prior to your attendance at the camp, a Confidential Medical Form must be completed by a medical professional (at your expense) and submitted to Algonquin College.
After the Program Readiness Camp assessment, participants will be ranked for selection into the program. Should the number of qualified applicants exceed the number of places in the program, candidates will be selected on the basis of the Letter of Intent, Letter of Reference, and physical and interpersonal skills and abilities.
Upon final acceptance into the program, students must provide proof of current basic/standard First Aid and CPR certification and a signed release form, prior to being allowed to register.
