Renaissance Square will be the new home of Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley in Pembroke, Ontario. It is destined to become Renfrew County’s hub of education, community service, and economic development.
Renaissance Square will put the “community" back into "Community College” and will create a unique way of combining the delivery of education and training with community development.
A destination campus will be created for Renfrew County near the bank of the Ottawa River and will offer modern educational facilities, a beautiful setting for recreational and community event opportunities, and retail services that will build momentum for the revitalization of Pembroke’s historic downtown.
A new Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley will allow the campus to grow to upwards of 1,000 full-time students and create a number of positive outcomes. A new campus will generate significant economic spin-offs for the entire region, improve access to post-secondary training and skills development, and most importantly, provide students with an exceptional learning and college experience.
Built near Pembroke’s picturesque waterfront and adjacent to the city’s downtown area, Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley will become a destination campus. Students will be able to take advantage of the wonderful recreational facilities nearby at the municipally owned Riverside Park and, with several hundred people at the College daily, new business opportunities in Pembroke’s downtown will present themselves, sparking a revival of the city’s inner core.
Renaissance Square is about enriching lives and communities!
