Perth Campus Tool Donation – Heritage Carpentry
Posted on Friday, November 4th, 2016
Tim and Rosemary Campbell, long-time benefactors and supporters to the Perth Campus and in particular its heritage programs, paid a visit to the campus on November 4 to meet with first-year students of the Carpentry Joinery – Heritage diploma program. Students spoke about why they chose the program and what it meant to them.
Tim and Rosemary sit on the Program Advisory Committee for the program and in addition to providing ongoing advice and inspiration they made another very generous donation to the program on the day of their visit to help support the program in the purchase of tools for the Joinery Shop. Using this donation as a starting point the campus plans to grow its inventory of tools including a mobile collection that will allow students to work on off-campus heritage field projects.
The campus thanks Tim and Rosemary for their continued generous support and leadership in the field of heritage trades training.
As Rosemary pointed out in her comments, “If you take care of your tools, your tools will take care of you.”
