Weston Family Scholarship
The W. Garfield Weston Foundation will generously support 165 Algonquin College students over the next four years through the Weston Family Scholarship in the Skilled Trades. To learn more, please visit their site.

The ACO London Scholarship

The Architectural Conservancy of Ontario – London Scholarship

The scholarship rewards “exemplary work in the development of hands-on heritage trades skills, research, promotion and education.” Applicants must submit a project that demonstrates the heritage trades skills that they are learning in College.

The ACO Port Hope Scholarship

The Architectural Conservancy of Ontario – Port Hope Branch generously awards scholarships to students residing in Northumberland County to students wishing to study in the Heritage Trades. Several students who have attended the Heritage Carpentry program have received these generous funds towards their education.

The Holmes Foundation

Mike Holmes, who is an inspiration to many of our students, is showing tremendous leadership in providing financial aid for those interested in pursuing the trades through The Holmes Foundation. His generosity in providing opportunities for students to pursue a career in the trades is an example in the industry. Currently over nine students from the Speciality Trades Carpentry programs at the Perth Campus have received these generous awards.

Make it Right: Scholarship

“The Holmes Foundation’s Make It Right® Scholarships are designed to encourage students in Canadian colleges and universities who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in residential renovation or construction to complete their academic training.”

“Every academic year The Holmes Foundation will award up to ten scholarships of $1,500 each – up to five will be awarded to male students and up to five will be awarded to female students. The students must be entering or enrolled in a residential construction program at a Canadian college or university. The scholarships will be awarded in trust to students who are judged by The Holmes Foundation to have combined academic excellence with a commitment to a career in residential construction or renovation.”

Make It Right: Bursaries

“Every academic year The Holmes Foundation will award up to ten bursaries to students entering or enrolled in a residential construction program at a Canadian college or university. The bursaries, each valued at $1,500 will be awarded up to five male students and up to five female students.”
