Occupational Health & Safety Standards

College Directive A14 provides for a system of occupational health & safety (OHS) standards and programs relating to various OHS topics. Employer obligations with respect to many of these topics are regulated through the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario. The following references summarize broad areas of policy that have been adopted by the College as well as standards which are specific guidelines related to safety management practices and exposure hazards. For certain topics, there are associated programs which provide an overview of recognition, assessment and controls for specific workplace hazards.
