Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSCs)

Algonquin College maintains Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSCs) at Woodroffe Campus, Perth Campus and Pembroke Campus.

JOHSCs are an integral part of the internal responsibility system for occupational health & safety at the College. These committees are heavily involved in inspecting the physical condition of the workplace on a regular basis, monitoring tests and reporting functions, investigations of serious injuries and making recommendations to the employer regarding measures, procedures which serve to reduce hazards and enhance safety for all staff.

Committee minutes and memberships are available on the College Committees web site and all minutes of meetings are posted in various locations at each Campus for review.
