7.3 Contributing to program planning and review

Revising an existing course requires significant curriculum planning and development. Keep in mind that if changes to your course are significant, you may need to revise your Course Learning Requirements (CLR’s) to ensure they align with departmental goals.

Curriculum Administration

The curriculum administration provides guidance, administrative support and direction to the academic, administrative and support staff pertaining to: program and course creation and delivery; Credentials Validation Service (CVS) liason, Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (MAE&SD) and College policies and procedures as they relate to funding and curriculum delivery.

Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR)

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a process that helps adult learners to identify, articulate and demonstrate relevant learning acquired through life and work experiences and translate this learning into college credit.
