The Building Construction Technician program prepares graduates for employment in the construction industry in both the hands-on skills sector and the knowledge and management areas. The goal of the program is to provide the graduate with a foundation of knowledge and skills upon which he or she can build a lifelong career in any of the many positions in the building industry. The graduates will be able to assume positions as estimators, sub-trades co-ordinators, site managers, safety supervisors, custom homebuilders, design/build renovators, or commercial construction contractors, after acquiring experience in an entry-level position.
