Webster Memorial Trophy Competition

Students are eligible to compete each year based on their achievements on Private or Commercial Flight Tests. In 2009 we were fortunate to have one of our students win the regional finals and go on to compete and win the Nationals in August in Brampton Ontario. Cory Raby started flying at Algonquin in September 2008 and less than 12 months later was selected as the Top Amature Pilot in Canada. Air Canada Pilots Association

Each year the Air Canada Pilots Association accepts submissions from Algonquin College Aviation Students for the coveted Dave Edward/Tom Jerrardr Award. These cash awards were created in honour of two of ACPA's founding members. In January 2009 Student, now turned Flight Instructor, Ken Wright claimed this award as a Commercial Pilot Student of Algonquin College.
