Awards, Bursaries and Scholarships


  • Student Project Presentation
    • Eligibility: Any student enrolled in the CST8160 project course of the Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering Technology – Computing Science programs of study. Project presentations are judged by a group of faculty based on a set of criteria related to good oral communication and presentation skills.

      Frequency: awarded twice a year.

      Award: certificate and name on a department trophy

  • Eagle Professional Resources

      Eligibility: four students with the highest GPA. in any one, two or three year Computer Studies program who is also involved in the community.

      Frequency: awarded annually.

      Award: $500 cash


  • The Ottawa Citizen

      Eligibility: Any student in level 04 of the Computer Programmer program who has successfully completed both first and second term of co-op, and who has demonstrated, through performance in addition to formal course evaluations, a thorough understanding of the application of IS to business problems. Evaluation of this aspect of the student’s learning will be based on performance during the co-op work terms and professors’ evaluation.

      Frequency: awarded annually.

      Award: $1,000 cash


  • School of Advanced Technology Award

      Eligibility: Any graduating students (full-time and part-time) from any full-time program offered by the School of Advanced Technology. Department Chairs vote on most deserving recipient from a list of candidates submitted by the departments. The candidates are selected according to four criteria: demonstrated academic excellence in the candidate's Program of Studies, demonstrated high performance in laboratories/project work, demonstrated academic leadership/teamwork, and creativity and ingenuity.

      Frequency: awarded annually.

      Award: $250 cash
