Turn your dream into a Second Career.

If you’ve been laid off within the last 12 months you may qualify for funding through the Second Career Strategy.

The Second Career Strategy is a newly created Ontario government program designed to help unemployed workers make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy.

Location: 85 Albert Street, boardroom main floor
Cost: Free

If you qualify, government assistance will provide funding towards your tuition, and living and transportation expenses up to $28,000.

If you are unable to attend the open house, you can book an appointment with one of Algonquin's Second Career Advisors. Even if you don’t qualify for Second Career funding, you may qualify for other forms of government support.
