About the Program

See-Earth is a hands-on, adventure-filled exploration of the local environment. See-Earth combines the technology, facilities, and expertise of Algonquin College with the skills and knowledge of teachers from Ottawa’s Public and Catholic School Boards. Participants will discover and uncover the natural beauty and environmental characteristics of the Ottawa Valley. The See-Earth program also promotes eco-leadership in schools by supporting the development of a school-based project.

The Commitment

Participating students will bring enthusiasm and commitment to the program. Active participation in the summer program will set the stage for the development and implementation of a sustainable environmental project for the fall of 2009.
