The Innovation Centre will:
- Provide a e-resource area defining Innovation and showcasing internal and external innovations;
- Offer a campus wide virtual secure area for staff to collaborate on the construction of knowledge and recognize connections and how it might help others (eg. projects, new technologies, professional development);
- Provide a virtual safe and secure e-zone for creative thinking in order for staff to discuss new ideas, ask questions, test a new concept etc;
- Provide an opportunity for staff, students and alumni to bring forward new promising and innovative ideas, concepts, and developments to the Innovation Committee. Ongoing support will be provided for approved business ideas through the “Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurs (ICE House)” in collaboration with internal and external resources;
- Recognize staff yearly through innovation awards.
