Here is just a brief summary of what we offer:

Individual Career Counselling:

Whatever your age or level of education, you may be experiencing doubt and confusion as to educational plans and/or choice of career. Discussions with a counsellor and the use of questionnaires can assist you in the sound exploration of educational and career possibilities.

Academic-Related Difficulties:

These may include study problems, adjustment to college life, tension and anxiety, any or all of which can interfere with your success in a program. Our counsellors are available to help you achieve a better understanding of the source of such difficulties and explore a variety of solutions.

Personal Issues

From time to time personal issues may surface which seem difficult to handle alone. Feeling stressed may interfere with school work or personal relationships. We're here to help so feel free to drop in and talk to one of our professional counsellors.

Educational and Career Resources

The Career Centre is a vocational information library, shared with Employment Services. You will find information about occupations, college and university programs, employment statistics and projections, resumé writing, interview preparation, and job hunting strategies. Computers are available to help research colleges or universities, explore careers, or conduct a job search.

Study Skills Seminars

You might feel you’re in the right program but you’re not getting the results you should. Perhaps poor study habits are holding you back. Our seminars are available every semester and cover effective use of time, note taking, concentration, exam prepration and other essential skills.

Other Activities

The Counselling Department participates in a variety of services to students. For example we offer programs such as Peer Tutoring and the Multicultural Buddy Network. To check out all of our services inquire at the Counselling office at your campus or check out our Web site.
