WHAT IS THE MBN?
The MBN (Multicultural Buddy Network) is a program that gives students the opportunity to meet students from Canada and around the world. Organized through Counselling Services, the MBN hosts a number of events every semester that allow students to form friendships and have some fun
The MBN is primarily made up of Algonquin students interested in meeting other students from around the world. The students come from all programs across the college and represent cultures from Canada and around the world. Algonquin employees, alumni, and friends and family members of MBN members are also welcome at most events.
All events hosted by the MBN are intended to be low-cost, accessible, and inclusive. We host weekly drop-ins where students can meet, enjoy some food and beverages, and find out about upcoming MBN events. We also offer an International Movie Night in the Algonquin residence once per month. For off-campus events we organize hikes, trips to dance bars, and even overnight trips to cities such as Montreal or Niagara Falls. Check out the Events section below for details about upcoming events.
