The mandate of the Personal Security Committee is:
- Initiate personal security awareness programs for students, staff and community and ensure that security audits are conducted
- Lead initiatives that promote personal security awareness and practices on campus.
- Set priorities for the Women's Campus Safety Grant and manage and report on expenditures
The committee is co-chaired by the Director of Student Support Services or designate and the Manager of Safety and Security Services and has representatives from the following areas:
Centre for Students with Disabilities
Counselling- coordinator, Tragic Events Response Team (TERT)
Students' Association
Academic Faculties - Ottawa
School of Part-Time Studies
School of Algonquin College in The Ottawa Valley (Pembroke)
Algonquin College Heritage Institute (Perth/Lanark)
Physical Resources
Manager Safety and Security Services
Student Support Services - Manager, Business Operations
Manager of Student Support Services, Residence
A student living in Residence
Other Representatives, as required |
