Minwaashin Lodge
Mandate: Minwaashin Lodge - Aboriginal Women's Support Centre, provides services and programs for Aboriginal women, men, children, and youth, who are direct and inter-generational survivors of family violence and the residential school system. We are a grassroots agency, staffed by survivors of family violence, with diverse cultures and professional backgrounds. We are from many different Aboriginal, Inuit and Metis nations.
Minwaashin Lodge is housed within the Wabano Centre. It is a Healing Lodge for all clients who wish to use it to reclaim their Aboriginal identity as taught by their Elders and through their traditional healing practices. Additionally, Minwaashin Lodge is a place for celebration of Aboriginal culture and survival.
