Rez Life at the Gonq! This is going to be an amazing year, I can already feel it. I’m from Cornwall, I just graduated from Ottawa U, and I’ll be taking the Event Management course here this fall. This summer, some events that I‘ll be participating in are: CBC’s Play On Hockey Tournament at the Scotiabank Place, City Chase in Ottawa and the Hope Beach Volleyball Tournament. I work at Algonquin College as the Student Affairs & Orientation Assistant, at ‘A’ News/CHUM Radio, and as a Big Brother. My hobbies are sports, photography, and videography. I‘m an easy going guy, always enjoy company, considered to be a semi-neat-freak, decent at cooking, enjoy the occasional chick flick, like to make people bake cookies for me, suck at dancing but I like to think that I’m good at it, and in tough situations I may pretend that I know kung fu … Anything else? I’ll be around all year for you to get to know me better. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone so that we can start having some good times together!
P.S. I’m sick at NHL 09 if anyone wants to challenge me and I enjoy eating cantaloupes |

Hey guys! My name is Jess and this will be my 2nd year at Algonquin College. I'll be finishing up my last year of the Police Foundations program, which has been awesome! I'm from the miniature town of Port Dover, which is commonly known as a tourist town in the summer. In my spare time I like to hang with friends, play sports and just be.. well.. a college kid! This summer I am heading out west to go tree planting in Alberta. Residence has a lot to offer, so I hope you take advantage of it and get involved with the activities. I look forward to meeting new people this year, and that's you! Good luck with your studies, and let's make this year an unforgettable one!! |

Hello Rez Students!
My name is Landon Heise and I'm from a small town North of Toronto called Uxbridge. The kind of town where you throw a stone across the street and most likely land it in a farmers field! I'm a second year Police Foundations student and this is my second year in residence and look forward to meeting new (and old) faces. Hopefully we can get some good events up and running and enjoy ourselves. If you need help in court fighting a traffic ticket, or anything around Residence, I'd be happy to help!

Vanessa Crocco
 |
Hey I'm Vanessa Crocco and I am going into my second year of Travel and Tourism. I was born in and still live in Kingston Ontario when I'm not going to school in Ottawa. Reason why I wanted to go to Ottawa is because I love new cities and new experiences. I love to travel and one day go to every continent (except Antarctica, that place is way to cold). I am a movie lover and when I play games I get a little competitive, but hey, who doesn't? I wish I could play an instrument so I can say I have a talent, but in this bio that's not going to happen. I hope next year is going to be great and in my next bio I can write down more great experiences.

John Huffman

|
Hello, my name is Jon Huffman and if you are reading this then there is a chance I’ll end up being your RA in the fall. I am a Game Development student entering my second year and I am counting the days till the fall term. Over the summer I’ll be in my hometown of Dryden up in North-western Ontario; about as far from Ottawa as one can be while still being in the province.
My hobbies are many; video games, juggling, reading, ice-skating, occasionally cooking. Recently I took up Fire-Spinning so my midnight hours are spent trying not to burn myself. I hope to become somewhat competent at playing with fire over the summer and maybe get into juggling torches.
Come school time if you’re ever in need of something look me up, I’ve been told I’m a reliable fellow and I’d be more than happy to help you out. Looking forward to meeting you in the fall.

Hey everyone! I'm Kristen and I am in my second year of the Child and Youth Worker program. I am from an "out in the boonies" town called Dunnville which is about 6 hours away from Ottawa. I graduated in June from Wilfrid Laurier University, and now I am attending Algonquin (which by the way I LOVE!). I was an RA last year, and I am definitely looking forward to doing it again this year. I feel that one should always remember this: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." Do not be afraid or ashamed of your successes. Flaunt it! See you in the fall!!!! |
