College Initiative: Practicing the 3Rs with College Social Events

The AC Family Fun Day, Winter Wonderland Edition, on Saturday, January 24 continues to incorporate sustainability practices into event planning. College community members are asked to collect “trash” to turn into treasures for two activities at the event.
For a dream-catcher craft activity, ribbons, garlands, and other special items from Holiday unwrapping, Christmas crackers and unwanted decorations are needed.
As well, yogurt containers (600-750 ml size) with lids will be helpful for a children’s activity that incorporates natural science, butterfly habitats and biodiversity concepts.
Items can be dropped off the first week of January in room C 514.
