Thanks to Mairu Gupta for the design from last year. Thanks for
the time and effort it took to show off a great student paper.
Thanks especially to John Willman for his assistance and interest
in this year's first on-line edition of The Algonquin Times.
Thanks also to the Editor Tim Wieclawski, Managing Editor D Underwood,
Assistant Managing Editor Robert Walker, and Layout Editor Cheryl
Brink for the long hours and the leadership they provide the paper.
Last but not least thanks to Joe Banks, Julie McCann, and Ralph
Plath for inspiring us and teaching us how to be journalists.

Thanks to Ryan for doing a great job last year. The website is
organized well, and it's a smooth ride to keep it updated. Cheers!

Thanks to Mike Dynie from the previous year, the
site has a nice clean look to it, but shall soon be totally overhauled
and updated with several new features but until then I'll just keep
updating the site as each issue comes out, i know its gonna go well.

From this day forward, the Algonquin Times Online will have a clean
new look (its first facelift since '99). Thanks goes out to my fellow
classmates for occasionally tearing me off the computer screen Saturday
nights, and my instructors for their support. You guys keep me sane!
I'd also like to thank the many dedicated readers who called or
e-mailed our production office in the last couple weeks and made
complaints about this site not being updated - you people were truly
the fuel behind my fire to get this going! It's been long hours
in development, but here it is. It's time for a siesta!

Adam did not have a breakdown. In fact, he's been promoted to Ass
Man Ed, also known as Assistant Managing Editor. As a result, I'm
taking over the Online Times for your reading pleasures until February.
I have no intentions of losing my mind this semester, because I've
lost it a long time ago, so I will not be holding any late night
nervous break-down sessions as the previous Online Ed did. However,
I am a morning bird, so early morning phreak-outs are very well
possible. Have a phantabulastic semester, and I hope you have as
much fun reading the Online Times as I do laying it out.

It's 10 o'clock. At night. And I'm still here. I've been here for
a while, and I'm not leaving anytime soon. The only time I tear
myself away from the computer screen is to turn the motion-sensor
lights back on. The only sound to be heard is me yelling at the
innocent monitor in front of me. "Why is that box doing that?"
"Why is that text wrapping over THERE?" The only witnesses
are the security folks behind the cameras, who I'm sure are having
a great laugh at my expense. Is that paranoia?
To my knowledge, Steve Sidoli did not have a nervous breakdown
(see previous entry). However, there's a first time for everything.
And I'm a leader, not a follower.

Hi, I'm Steve Sidoli, the new Algonquin Times Online editor. I'll
be with you until winter 2001, unless I have a nervous breakdown,
which hopefully won't happen. Of course it won't happen! Hey, I
can handle it. Seriously.

Here it is, the new Algonquin Times Online! Slicker, hipper, and
with more stuff!
Thanks to John Kozodoj, who is still giving generously of his time
and expertise, and Tanya Hawley, for the input, and inspiration
behind this new design.
Props sent to assistant online editor Phil Ambroziak, who has put
in so many hours on this site with so little acknowledgement for
his efforts. Thanks, Phil!!!

As of September, 1998, Algonquin Times Online will have a new look,
easier navigation and more photos. And John Kozodoj is still giving
generously of his time and expertise—thanks, John.

Algonquin Times Online became a reality August 25, 1997 because
of the hard work and dedication of a few people. Many thanks to
the 1997 Interactive Multimedia Class, to Tanya Hawley, for her
work on website graphics, and to John Kozodoj, who devoted endless
hours to this project. Without John, no one would be surfing this
site. Thank-you, and enjoy.
