Employee Discounts

Employee-Discount---Piggy-BankMany vendors offer discounts to Algonquin College employees. Contact information is provided below for obtaining the most up-to-date information on the discounts. To obtain a discount, you must let the vendor know you are an employee of the college by providing a valid, current Algonquin College identification card.

Internal Benefits:
  • Full Time Staff/Corporate Meal Plan – Sign up for this meal plan and purchase any food item(s) at any of our 8 food outlets. Use it in the Marketplace Food Court, Bits n’ Bytes, Tim Hortons, Portable Feast, The Fix Eatery, Booster Juice (Fall 2014) or the 35th Street Market Cafe. You’ll be able to save 5% on all outlets with the exception of Booster Juice, Starbucks and Tim Hortons.
  • Fitness Zone – College Employees receive special pricing at the College Fitness Zone. Also, College employees get the option of paying for their one-year membership via payroll deduction.
External Offers:
  • Apple Computers – Algonquin faculty, staff and students are eligible for the Apple Education discount, this applies to computers, software and some third party products. Note that there are usually no discounts on the more popular items like iPads.
  • ChancesR – Visit ChancesR after 7pm and pay with your AC card and receive 10% off!
  • Car Rentals – College Employees will receive a 5% discount when renting a vehicle from Enterprise. For reservations, please email Kathy Morris kmorris@dt.com (the college’s travel agent from Direct Travel). A $10 reservation fee will be applied to your credit card.   • Loblaws/Independent – if you have a valid student card from taking a course at Algonquin at a discounted rate; visit a Loblaws or an Independent grocery on Tuesdays and receive 10% off your purchase.
  • terra20 – Aligned with efforts to pave a more sustainable path, Algonquin College has developed a new partnership with a local, green retailer. terra20 is an Ottawa-based retailer aimed at encouraging a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. Algonquin College employees, students and faculty are eligible to save 10% on all regular-priced products by enrolling in the Saving for Change program!
  • Tommy Hilfiger – Shop at the Tommy Hilfiger on College Square and show valid Algonquin College Staff ID to receive 10% off of your purchase!
