Workforce & Personal Development
Algonquin College is passionately focused on our students’ success, following our vision, mission, and core values to help every student succeed. Workforce and Personal Development (WPD) supports these efforts by assisting diverse populations, underrepresented groups and new Canadians successfully enroll and complete post-secondary education.
Our mandate to serve you:
- We strive to achieve educational excellence at Algonquin College by embracing a diverse and inclusive community in which everyone is provided with the tools and resources they need to succeed during their studies at Algonquin College and in in entering their careers.
- We welcome and work to support immigrants and newcomers to Canada, Aboriginal peoples, people with disabilities, and students who are the first in their family to attend post-secondary education.
- We are experts at transitioning mature and experienced workers into new career paths, and assisting men and women who want to enter non-traditional occupations.
The portfolios listed on the above headers are focused on student populations who tend to face barriers in post-secondary education and in the Canadian workforce. Click on the initiatives to find out more about our current projects.
