(OTSC) scheduled for April 30 – May 2nd in Kitchener, Waterloo. The Ontario Technological Skills Competition is put on by Skills Canada – Ontario and is the largest skilled trades and technology competition in Canada. The Ontario Technological Skills Competition promotes careers and education in skilled trades and technology. Approximately 1600 individuals from across Ontario participated in 60 various events and contests.
The Ontario Technological Skills Competition draws over 35, 000 individuals to the two days of competition and Career Exploration Showcase.

Touring through the new ACCE building is easier than ever with our new Self-Guided Tour map – ACCE Self-Guided Tour 102011. The following file will provide you with the key points of interest throughout the building. While touring through the building notice that there are smaller signs at various points that explain some of the structural and architectural details used in the construction of the building. This information plays a key part in the building’s “Living Lab” and can be used by our students to enhance their in-class curriculum.
If you are interested in finding more information about our programs of study please visit the College’s Open House happening in the ACCE building as well as other locations throughout the Woodroffe Campus on November 3rd between 9am and 1pm as well as 5pm to 7pm.

The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT), along with Skills Compétences Canada (SCC), GoTECHgirl and the National Council of Deans of Technology are pleased to invite you to be part of NATIONAL TRADES & TECHNOLOGY DAY 2011. There will be a Wind Turbine Competition featuring local school boards, technology displays, and career information.
Algonquin College will host a booth at this event and we will also have a number of students the Faculty of Technology and Trades present at the event to discuss their wind turbine Applied Research project.
