24th Annual Edible Architecture Competition – February 14th from 10am-12noon

For the past 23 years, the Architectural Technology program of Algonquin College has hosted a mid-semester ‘fun activity’ called “Edible Architecture”. Its purpose is to provide students and staff with an opportunity at designing something ‘fun and unique’ and it’s a great excuse for a major sugar rush! This competition is open to any student in an ACCE program. Faculty and Staff can also enter though they are not eligible to win a prize.

The event is to be judged on Thursday, February 14 at 12:00 p.m. in the ACCE Atrium, and many prizes will be awarded in each classification. Entries and team members must be entered with SJ Norman or Joan St-Arneault in the ACCE Foyer South Atrium between 10:00 and 11:50 a.m.

Rules:
Maximum three people per team.

Each entry must be totally edible (including fasteners, glue and structural support) and must portray some architectural or design theme. The base does not have to be edible.

Maximum size: 18” x 18” x 12”h.
