Culinary Management graduate Andrea Robichaud gives back to local businesses during pandemic.
Andrea is a Culinary Management graduate who was laid off from her restaurant job during the pandemic. During this time, to support local businesses, she created ‘Cooking for a Cause at Home’, a subscription-based business that features contributions from local restaurants with 100% of proceeds going to food-focused charitable organizations. Congratulations to AC Culinary Skills – Chef Training graduate Resa Solomon-St.Lewis, of Baccanalle in Ottawa! Resa won the Embassy Chef Challenge, an amazing fundraising event in support of the IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) Foundation that pits Chef against Chef as they represent a number of Embassies and Diplomatic Missions to Canada. Marie-Cécile Nottaway, Culinary Skills and Culinary Management graduate and founder of Wawatay Catering, says the chef skills program, and the chefs who ran it, were flexible enough to encourage her interest in combining traditional foods with modern culinary techniques. “They said, ‘You don’t have to really go by the book.
