Adrienne Marshall

After completing her degree at Ottawa University with a major in History and Political Science, Adrienne Marshall came to Algonquin College for her postgraduate studies in International Business Management.

While in the International Business Management program Adrienne came across a unique opportunity to apply for an internship at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC. Adrienne applied in January and was selected for a phone interview. The phone interview narrowed the process down to the final 20 interns which were selected for internships. Adrienne worked for the Trade Department under the Trade Commissioner and was responsible for attending Congressional Hearings and Think Tank events (on average, 2 per day) and producing reports on the meetings.

Adrienne credits her success in her internship to the FITT project that she worked on with a live client. Being in contact with the company and the company using parts of the strategy she recommended has really impressed prospective employers.
