Information for Apprenticeship students

A friendly reminder of some essential to-dos and helpful information before you arrive on campus!

1) AC Card (student card)

AC CardIf you haven’t already, submit your photo for your AC Card online. Your Algonquin College network username and password are your login credentials to submit a photo. These can be found in ACSIS, once available.

Please note: your AC Card photo can only be submitted online.

Once your photo is approved, you’ll receive an email to book an appointment to pick up your card. Getting an AC Card (student card) allows you to print on campus and there is no charge to obtain a student card.

 

2) Lockers

Locker ServicesNeed a place to store your belongings while on campus? You can rent a locker by logging in to your ACSIS account. Note that locker rentals are only available online.

3) Parking permits

ParkingIf you require parking on campus, please visit this link to purchase your parking permit online. Note that parking permits are only available for purchase online. Apprentices in programs in the ACCE (CA) Building will be provided parking permits in parking Lot 10. Apprentices in programs in the S Building will be provided parking permits that can be used in parking Lot 12 or 16. The College’s parking map can be found by visiting the Parking Services website. Parking without a permit may result in a ticket, on or off campus.

4) Textbooks and course materials

textbooksPurchase your textbooks and other course materials by visiting thecampusstore.ca. Note that you can select the best option for you to get your order including in-store pick-up, shipping, and contactless curbside pick-up. If any of your books are not available, please email campusstore@algonquincollege.com.

5) Printing on campus

printingAlgonquin College provides 100 8.5″ x 11″ black and white printed pages each term to students who have paid the full IT Fee. These pages will show up on your print account as a $10.00 print balance. Find out how you can print from your personal device to any printer on campus here with Mobility Print. If you run out of printed pages, you can click on the “Add $ to my AC Card” link to add funds to your AC Card (student card) to continue printing on campus.

Note: An AC Card is required to be able to print on campus.

6) Residence

ResIf you are looking for somewhere to live during your apprenticeship and are interested in our on-campus Residence, please contact our Residence team to inquire about availability at info@algonquinresidence.ca.
