Home Construction Regulatory Authority Courses & Exams

Courses
This course provides an overview of the planning and general management needs of a residential construction business and includes the HCRA exam required for Ontario builders or vendors.

This comprehensive course is designed to provide operating managers with the skills to plan, monitor and make decisions on all financial elements of a residential construction business. HCRA Exam is included.

Learn the critical elements of project planning as well as the role and responsibilities of a construction site supervisor. The HCRA exam is included in this course.

For home builders, this course will help you navigate the language, laws and issues surrounding residential construction. Course fee includes the HCRA exam.

Courses
We offer all seven HCRA-approved required competency courses under the New Home Construction Licensing Act (NHCLA). Each course includes the exam, which can be completed online at a time of your choosing once you have completed the course. Our courses are 1 or 2-day virtual classes led by a qualified instructor.
Exams
HCRA Competency Exams (formerly Tarion) are now available online using the Honorlock virtual proctoring system. You can complete the exams in the comfort and safety of a location of your choice, and at a time that’s most convenient to you.
