Attend our Information Session on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at 700 Sussex Drive, 2nd Floor, Ottawa.

The International Facility Management Association™ (IFMA) Sustainability Facility Professional® (SFP) Credential Program equips facility management professionals and product or service providers with the knowledge and competencies needed to address the 8 categories of sustainable facility management: energy, water, materials and resources, workplace management, indoor environmental quality, quality of services, waste and site impact. The three focus areas of the program are Strategy and Alignment for Sustainable Facility Management, Managing Sustainable Facilities, and Operating Sustainable Facilities.

During this session, you will:

  • Receive an overview of the program and its three focus areas.
  • Learn how you can develop the knowledge and gain recognition for your expertise in sustainable facility management practices while impacting your organization’s triple bottom line.
  • Learn how the Sustainability Facility Professional credential prepares you to improve facility efficiency and how to align resource-optimizing projects with corporate strategy.
  • Find out about the program’s requirements and best practice on how to successfully complete the program.

Who should attend:

  • Facility management practitioners with a baseline knowledge of facility management industry knowledge
  • Facility management professionals who are transitioning into sustainability-related positions
  • Related industry practitioners such as architects, designers and safety engineers
  • Facility-related product and service providers
  • Anyone who has taken the Facility Management Professional® Credential Program (FMP) and is interested in expanding the depth of their expertise in the area of sustainable facility management

About the Speaker: John Vinken, MSc. Eng., FMP, CFM, SFP CEM, CRSP, CET

John Vinken holds his Facility Management Professional, Certified Facility Manager and Sustainable Facility Professional certifications from the International Facility Management Association. John is an accredited instructor with IFMA for the FMP, SFP and CFM credentials. He has extensive experience in all aspects of facility management focused on hard services, business development and strategic planning, including support services related intellectual property and business critical infrastructure management. Retired from full time work in 2015, John now actively mentors and teaches developing professionals in the achievement of their professional goals and consults for various global organizations on making their FM sustainable.

There is no charge to attend this event. Refreshments will be served.
