MakerSpace Student Information
The MakerSpace is a hands-on space where you can build, prototype, and complete course projects using innovative tools and technology. Whether you’re exploring ideas for a course project or working on a specific assignment, we’re here to help you work safely, effectively, and confidently.
Location
The MakerSpace is located on the Ottawa campus in room C276, within the DARE District.
Appointment Bookings
Student project support is available by appointment only during our operating hours. Appointments are required for most project work that involves equipment, technical guidance, or course-related activities. If your class is using the MakerSpace, your instructor may direct you to complete parts of your project in the space to ensure you have the right support.

Appointments and supported project work are available during operational hours: Monday to Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
What to Expect
When you book an appointment, you’ll be supported by a MakerSpace technician who can help you navigate tools, troubleshoot issues, and move your project forward. This appointment-based model helps us manage capacity while keeping the experience safe, smooth, and high-quality for everyone.
