Critical Care Continuing Education
Course: NSG0161
This critical care continuing education course for Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) builds advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients with multi-system involvement. Students explore cardiovascular and hemodynamics, respiratory, neurological, complex multisystem implications, and complex patient scenarios. Through a combination of online modules, case studies, discussion forums, quizzes, and immersive simulation exercises with structured reflection, students will enhance critical thinking, early recognition of patient deterioration, interprofessional collaboration, and escalation of care.
Notes
This course is designed for: Practicing RPNs interested in building skills and confidence in high-acuity patient care, RPNs seeking additional experience with cardiovascular, hemodynamic, and neurological patient care and recent graduates looking to enhance clinical knowledge and upskill in complex care environment.
Upon successfully meeting course requirements, you will receive an Algonquin College Certificate of Completion.
