Food Handler Retake Test
Course: FOD5700T
Food Handler Certification Exam. To be eligible, to challenge the Food Handler Certification Exam, you must show proof of completion from one of the criteria: Previously taken the City of Ottawa or Algonquin College Food Handler Training Course and need to challenge the exam from an unsuccessful attempt in the past 12 months or have are currently certified from any Ontario Public Health Unit and need recertify (date of challenge must be before the certificate expires); Completion of any of the approved Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) recognized programs or Completion of the In Good Hands on-line course from the past 12 months. Proof of certification is required before re-challenging the exam. Individuals who are unable to provide satisfactory proof of certification will not be allowed to challenge the exam. If an individual meets the criteria to challenge the food handler training exam, please follow the registration process for Food Handler Course Exam Only Option.
Notes
Please note: Sections 522 and 524 will be delivered on campus at the Woodroffe campus and Sections 521, 523, and 525 will be delivered virtually in an interactive setting utilizing videoconferencing and an online proctored exam. Students will require access to video on a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone.
