Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nursing
- This Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides you with the knowledge, technical, theoretical, and leadership skills required to work in an operating room setting.
- Nurses learn the basic concepts of safe client care in the operating room, as well as proper operating room practices, techniques and procedures.
- In addition to learning theory and practical concepts, students in this program learn how to create a therapeutic environment for surgical clients and their families in order to support client care.

Program Summary
Courses
Programs at Algonquin College are delivered using a variety of instruction modes. Courses may be offered in the classroom or lab, entirely online, or in a hybrid mode which combines classroom sessions with virtual learning activities. Upon registration, each full-time student is provided an Algonquin email account which is used to communicate important information about program or course events.
