Human Resources has been working on establishing an HR Service Centre with support in both the HR Office and in the Employee Learning Exchange (ELX). Starting in October, HR has hired another Client Service Representative and will institute set HR Service Centre drop-in hours so we can give employees on-the-spot service decreasing waiting times on inquiries.
The College will be closed for the Christmas holiday from 12 noon on Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 until Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
The College will reopen on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020.
Happy Holidays!
Launching October 7, 2019! Keep an eye out around campus for Not Myself Today Ambassadors!
We hear about it more and more– the importance of taking care of our mental health. Our mental health affects how we think, feel, and act. And it affects us everywhere, including at work. With that in mind, it is especially important that we take care of our mental health on the job, and that we support our colleagues who may be struggling.
We are excited to launch Not Myself Today®, a mental health initiative presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association that is transforming workplaces at Algonquin College. Not Myself Today gets us talking openly about mental health on our way to creating a psychologically safe work environment.
