International Christmas Party

Christmas Bell International Christmas Party

The International Education Centre (IEC) invites you to the best party of the year!

A traditional Christmas Dinner will be served, buffet style, and afterwards the party starts with a DJ and dancing. Bring your favourite music to dance to (on a USB is preferred).

There will be games, prizes and Santa might even make an appearance.

Date: December 4th

Room: Salon A, Algonquin College.

Time: Event starts at 6 pm.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in the IEC, room C429.

Cash, no refunds.

Have your AC Card (student ID card) waiting for you when you arrive! E-mail your digital photographs and information to photoid@algonquincollege.com in advance, and your card will be ready for your to pick up (with your passport) upon your arrival!

Digital Photograph Requirements:

• Background must be uniformly white or light in colour

• Face must be clearly visible and applicant facing the camera

• Photograph must be in colour

• Applicant must be the only person in the picture

• Must be in .jpeg format

• Nothing can impede the view of the face

• No hats, sunglasses, gestures

FREE PLAGIARISM WORKSHOP

Hello International Students,

The International Education Centre is offering a free plagiarism workshop that has been carefully designed and created to address your academic concerns and questions. Typically 1 hour long, this workshop will help you develop the skills you need to avoid plagiarizing on your assignments and papers. Plagiarism can lead to serious difficulties including academic probation or even dismissal from a program.

Reasons why you should attend these workshops…

  • They’re FREE! Won’t cost anything.
  • Learn how to avoid plagiarizing on assignments and papers.
  • Understand the consequences of plagiarism.
  • Learn tips on how to avoid plagiarizing (academic resources TurnitIn)

Ski Trip – Camp Fortune

One of the best events of the year!

  • February 19th at Camp Fortune http://campfortune.com/welcome-winter/
  • Ski Tickets $39 (includes lift, rental, lesson and transportation there and back)
  • Snowboard tickets $42 (includes lift, rental, lesson and transportation there and back)
  • Helmet rental available for $10
  • Bus leaves College at 8:30 am sharp and will return to the College at 3 pm (leave Camp Fortune at 3 pm).
  • Need your shoe size, weight in lbs and height in feet when you purchase ticket. This information is needed for rental equipment.
  • Cash only, no refunds.
