ESL Intensive + Hospitality and Interactive Media Design – July 2-26, 2024

This intensive 4-week ESL and college sampler program provides young adults an opportunity to improve their English proficiency while experiencing Hospitality and Interactive Media Design programs at one of Canada’s largest colleges located in the capital city, Ottawa. This program is ideal for students who want to experience College programs and class environment while improving their English proficiency.

Program at a Glance

This short-term study program is comprised of the following learning activities:

• ESL Intensive (50 hours)
• Hospitality (20 hours)
• Interactive Media Design (20 hours)
• One group excursion around Ottawa

Program Details

Intensive ESL (50 hours)

The Intensive ESL Summer program supports students to improve their language proficiency and includes a wide range of personalized, pair and group language learning activities, utilizing the latest educational technology as well as faculty who maintain Canada’s highest national certification for language instruction.

Hospitality and Tourism Management (20 hours)

Students are introduced to management concepts and tourism at work in their community and globally. Students gain an understanding of the interaction of all tourism sectors and the variety of work experience potential and entrepreneurial opportunities found in the tourism industry.

Interactive Media Design (20 hours)

Web design, programming, as well as video and motion graphic skills, are in demand in all employment sectors. Students will be introduced to fundamental design skills and explore a range of design-related disciplines in order to discover where their strengths and interests lie.

Program Structure

Students will be in Intensive ESL classes in the morning throughout the 4 weeks, followed by afternoon classes of Hospitality and Tourism Management during the first 2 weeks and Interactive Media Design in the last 2 weeks.

Admission Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• English proficiency of IELTS 5.5 minimum or equivalent is recommended
