Women in Leadership Speaker Event – International Women’s Day
Mar 06, 2018 |07:30-09:00
Algonquin College is pleased to announce its second annual Women in Leadership Speaker Event, part of a series created to welcome thought-leaders to share ideas and knowledge, spark conversations, and inspire employees to seek opportunities for personal and career development.
The speaker, Shari Graydon, is the founder of the social-mission project Informed Opinions, as well as a women’s advocate, and award-winning author of the book OMG! What if I really AM the best Person?. Since 2010, she has helped amplify the voices of more than 1,500 women across Canada, supporting them in sharing their insights and analysis with a broader public.
Shari’s engaging and interactive talk, Finding Your Voice, looks at what the barriers are to women speaking up, and the consequences to not being heard. Shari weaves personal stories, research, and humour into her dynamic and inspiring keynote that has motivated women across disciplines and sectors to embrace opportunities to increase their impact.
Agenda for Tuesday, March 6:
- 7:30am – 8:00am: Networking (complimentary breakfast will be provided)
- 8:00am – 9:00am: Shari Graydon’s address (followed by Q&A)
This event is complimentary for all Algonquin College employees and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
