Lesson 2 – UDL or Accommodations?

Some of these scenarios demonstrate how UDL practices can reduce the need for accommodations. However, it is important to recognize that even with UDL teaching approaches, students may still require academic accommodations.
Now that you have completed the modules about UDL, you might realize that many of your teaching practices already are UDL practices. It is helpful to let your students know you use UDL in your courses. At some colleges and universities, like Mohawk, faculty are prompted to share a statement with their students to outline which UDL features they have used throughout their courses. What might your UDL statement include?
