Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) (4-Term Bridging Program) (Co-op)

Bridging to 4th Year – Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours)

Canada’s Only Fully Online Bridge to a CIDA-Accredited Interior Design Degree

Advance your diploma into an accredited degree. This online bridging pathway prepares you for advanced design work, includes a required Co-op placement, and leads to direct entry into the final year of Algonquin’s CIDA-accredited Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program.

Why Bridge?

In January 2017, ARIDO required a four-year degree for all new interns and registered members. Our bridging program helps you:

  • Meet evolving professional licensing requirements across Canada and the U.S.
  • Refresh and advance your technical and conceptual design skills
  • Prepare for NCIDQ certification or graduate studies
  • Enter the final year of our BID program and graduate with a fully accredited degree

Student Testimonials

“After completing my Interior Design DEC at Dawson College, the Bridging Program enabled me to seamlessly continue into degree studies and build on the foundation I had developed. The flexibility of the online courses meant I could focus on strengthening my skills without having to relocate, preparing me to enter the industry with confidence. Even from afar, I felt supported by my professors and peers. It was the ideal pathway to advance my education and transition into the interior design field.”Julia Ranallo

“I finished my Diploma at Dawson College and joined the bridging program at Algonquin College. While taking online courses was an option, I opted to study in person for the 4th year, and it was a welcoming experience! I got to meet many people in the same profession, with diverse creativity, skills, and approaches to design. The program gave me stronger confidence to go into the workforce and the design industry.”Kap Nguyen

“With a Diploma in Interior Design from Dawson College, Montreal, I wanted to get a degree from Algonquin. I was a little apprehensive coming into the online bridging program but to my surprise, it turned out to be a great experience! The flexibility gave me the space I needed to travel, work and complete the courses online adhering to my own schedule. Professors were very understanding and promptly responded to questions.”Nahed Nada
