On Friday, April 10, the College invites current soldiers, exiting soldiers, veterans, military spouses and their families to come on campus to learn more about the programs and services that are available to them when they enroll at the Pembroke Campus. This half-day Open House will include campus tours, presentations geared to the military community and a panel of current students who can share their academic journey as a former military member or military spouse. The Canadian Armed Forces Cyber Command (CAFCYBERCOM) will deliver a new foundational training program for CAF Cyber Operator candidates through its Cyber Training Unit (CTU), in partnership with Algonquin College.
Managed and delivered by CTU under CAFCYBERCOM, the program provides structured learning pathways guiding recruits from foundational skills to operational capability. Training ensures CAF personnel are prepared to defend military networks, support multi-domain operations, and contribute to national and global security. “Strengthening our cyber capabilities is a strategic priority for CAFCYBERCOM,” said Lieutenant-Colonel James Carter, CTU’s Commanding Officer. “This program will equip recruits with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to evolving cyber threats and support CAF operations both domestically and internationally.” Continue reading →
