Get on-the-spot tech support for connecting to the college’s Wifi, downloading software, accessing ACSIS and Brightspace, and more!

Come by the Mamidosewin Centre to say hi and meet the staff! At the Centre, you can learn about Indigenous student initiatives and programs, opportunities to get involved, and upcoming events!

Good morning, AC! Start your first day of college off right by visiting the AC Hub for coffee, pastries, and live music!

Brewbar will be onsite serving up delicious organic teas and masterfully brewed fair trade coffees. Take your pick of beverage from an array of options including espresso, lattes, and whole-leaf teas, grab a fresh pastry, and enjoy some live music before heading off to your Program Orientation!

This short walk through our beautiful library will introduce attendees to our onsite services and resources; such as the silent study area, collaborative learning spaces, and helpful staff. Learn how easy it is to use our self-checkout kiosks to borrow books and how to borrow laptops from our new 24 hour laptop lockers. Find out more about the Coaching and Peer Tutoring Services.

Finally, meet Page 1+; – it’s a lot like Google, but instead of searching the web, it searches the library’s online and in-house collection!

10am – 2pm • Everything You Need to Know About Printing on Campus

Do you have questions about how to use the on-campus printers? Drop by the Print Services table where an expert from Print Services can instruct on how to print on campus, show you the online printing processes, and answer any additional questions you may have.

Drop by the Booklist and Course Materials table to ask any questions you may have about your booklists or course materials. Set yourself up for success by learning how to access your custom booklist, finding out how to order your course materials, and asking our experts your questions!

10am – 4pm • Relaxation and Social Stations

Looking for a calm place to sit down, relax, and kick back with friends? Check out the Relaxation and Social Stations in ACCE Building in front of the Living Wall where you’ll find various relaxation and social activities to participate in by yourself or with friends!

10am – 4pm • Spiritual Centre Drop-In

Stop by the Spiritual Centre in Rooms E204 and E211 (2nd Floor, Student Commons/E Building) to meet the team, have a few moments of quiet and reflection, and learn more about the faith and spirituality groups on campus!
  • In E204, participate in mindfulness activities and get information about the different spirituality and faith groups at the college. From 12pm to 3pm, representatives from Campus Ministries and Intervarsity will be available to answer questions and chat about their services.
  • In E211, stop by to learn more about the various Muslim services available on campus.

From journalling, to board games, to creating a vision board for the upcoming school year, there’s something for everyone to unwind and relax with in The Chill Zone!

In this workshop, get to know Brightspace, the online platform for your courses. You will learn how to access your course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes, see your grades, and more.
You will also learn about Zoom, including how to set up your Zoom account, adjust your account settings for security, schedule your own zoom meetings, and work with your classmates.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to sign in and navigate Brightspace, the online platform for your courses. This workshop will cover how to access your course material, submit assignments, take quizzes, see your grades, and more.
You will also learn about your student email and some of the Microsoft 365 apps, like Word and Teams, that you can access through your email account and that can assist you in your studies.
