Virtual Lunch with Kokum

Virtual Lunch with Kokum is an opportunity to meet with Kampus Kokum, Annie, and connect and connect online over lunchtime.

Our self-identified Indigenous students are invited to participate in Virtual Lunch with Kokum, a casual meeting opportunity to meet with your Kokum and fellow learners. You don’t have to stay for the entire time, just what you can manage.

Lunch with Kokum

Lunch with Kokum is an opportunity to meet with Kampus Kokum, Annie, and connect on-campus during the month of September.

Our self-identified Indigenous students are invited to participate in Lunch with Kokum, a casual meeting opportunity to share some free soup and bannock with your Kokum and fellow learners on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, September 15, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ outdoor eating area near waterfront
  • Tuesday, September 22, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ outdoor eating area near waterfront
  • Wednesday, September 30, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ outdoor tent on-campus

You are welcome to participate in as many Lunch with Kokum meetings as your schedule allows. You do not have to stay for the entire time but we encourage you to stay as long as you can.

Soup and bannock will be provided in the outdoor eating area near the waterfront side of the campus.

We will observe physical distancing as we eat and ask that you wear your face mask when you receive your soup and bannock.

AC Day 1 Fireworks

It’s the Students’ Association 50th anniversary, so we wanted to start the school year off with a bang!

  • Tuesday, September 8
  • 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

While this year might be different than normal, we can still connect virtually. We hope these fireworks help bring us all together – we’ll be live streaming them so you can tune in wherever you are! Keep an eye on our Instagram for the live stream link.

The fireworks will last for about 10 minutes, depending on the weather.

Join band members for a mix of interactive storytelling and song requests.

  • Outline the next steps, including financing your education
  • Guide you through the steps of the OSAP application process
