Canadian Olympian Melissa Bishop will be at the Waterfront Campus on Thursday, October 13, 2016 to speak about her Olympic experience in Rio this past summer and share her story of personal perseverance as an elite athlete.
Melissa won a Gold medal in the 2015 Pan Am Games and a Silver medal in the 2015 World Championships in the 800 metre race. She just missed winning a medal at the Olympics when she finished 4th in the 800 metre race, while shattering a Canadian record.
Melissa will be speaking in the Commons on Thursday, October 13 beginning at 11:45 a.m. All students and staff are welcome to attend. Don’t miss it!
