Join us for our Holiday Break Open House to discover what makes the Pembroke Campus so special – and how we will help you reach your career goals!

At our Holiday Break Campus Tour Day, you can:

  • Tour Algonquin College’s Pembroke Waterfront Campus: See the Pembroke Waterfront Campus through a guided tour that will include our central student commons area, the gym, and fitness centre, a two-storey river view library, and several specialized learning labs and classrooms. Pembroke’s picturesque waterfront and surrounding green space is a wonderful backdrop for our facility and visiting and talking to us in person will give you a better understanding of the great learning environment we provide for our students.
  • Student Services: Meet some of our student services staff and learn about the services we provide that can help you be successful in your classes.
  • Attend a Presentation: What makes the Pembroke Campus a great place to study? Attend this presentation about a typical year of student life at the Pembroke Campus and picture yourself as one of our new students.
  • Meet one-on-one with faculty in the program you are interested in: It’s important to register for this event and let us know your program(s) of interest so that we can work to ensure that we can connect you with a faculty member.
  • On-site Application Station: Take advantage of our on-site application station to submit your application on the spot! Staff are on hand to help you apply online to the program of your choice. For more information please visit ontariocolleges.ca
  • Enter the “Twelve Applicants of Christmas” Draw: Be part of the draw for our exciting “Twelve Applicants of Christmas” shopping spree. Yes, on this day we are giving twelve of our visiting applicants a $25 gift card to go shopping in our Bookstore. Plus, attendees can win other great door prizes.

AC Amazing Race – Games Day

  • Thursday, September 12AC Amazing Race, Algonquin College, Pembroke Campus
  • 1:00 – 6:30 p.m. @ Algonquin College Pembroke Campus
    • All first-year classes are cancelled from 1 – 3 p.m. so that you can attend this important orientation activity
    • Second-year students welcome to join if you don’t have classes!

Celebrate your second week of studies with the AC Amazing Race Games Day! Here’s what you can expect:

  • Starting at 1 p.m.: All first-year students are asked to register in the Commons between 1 – 1:30 p.m. The program with the greatest participation gets a pizza party and bragging rights!
  • 1:30 p.m.: AC Amazing Race games start at the Marina! A variety of Amazing Race-inspired games, RY-J’s obstacle courses, Pictionary, The Price is Right and many more!
    • Wear your green AC t-shirt. Points for creativity with your t-shirts!
  • 3 p.m.: Games wrap up with group activity
  • 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Free BBQ dinner and winners announced!

Don’t forget to wear your green AC t-shirts and “Go Green” with our #ACAMAZINGRACE!

The more you participate, the greater the chances of you winning some of the following PRIZES:

Paddling Film Festival World Tour 2019 – Pembroke

Join us for an intimate, private evening screening of the 2019 Paddling Film Festival World Tour films, hosted by our Outdoor Adventure Final Expedition student group.

The Paddling Film Festival World Tour has been showcasing the very best paddling films, and this year, the World Tour screens in more than 120 cities around the world, including right here in our Whitewater Capital region. If you’re a paddler, an adventurer, or just curious to be inspired to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, push extremes, embrace the paddling lifestyle and appreciate the wild places – then join us this March in Pembroke.

Since Rapid Media launched the festival back in 2006, the Paddling Film Festival World Tour has grown to become one of the largest paddling events in the world, and has screened over 900 times to more than 280,000 audience members. Rapid Media has awarded $71,000 to paddling filmmakers and helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for charitable causes.

Our event contributes to Rapid Media’s causes as well as raises funds for our graduate expedition.
