Property Manager
Location: Perth, Ontario
Hours: 15–35 hours per week (flexible)
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, reliable Property Manager to oversee and maintain a well-kept residential building in Perth, Ontario. This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in property stewardship, enjoys practical work, and values strong tenant relationships.
This position blends property management, light maintenance, and improvement work. The right candidate will be organized, responsive, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high standards for the property.
Key Responsibilities
Property Management
Serve as primary on-site contact for tenants
Respond to tenant inquiries and minor issues in a timely, professional manner
Coordinate and oversee trades when required (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
Meet contractors on-site as needed
Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify maintenance or improvement needs
Assist with unit turnovers and inspections
Property Maintenance & Improvements
Perform general maintenance tasks
Light carpentry and small repair work
Interior and exterior painting
Minor drywall repair and patching
Ongoing property improvements and upgrades
General upkeep of common areas and exterior grounds
Administrative Support (Light)
Communicate updates to ownership
Track maintenance needs and completed work
Assist in obtaining quotes from trades when required
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Is dependable and takes pride in their work
Has basic carpentry and painting skills
Is comfortable handling minor repairs independently
Communicates clearly and professionally
Is organized and capable of managing their time well
Lives locally (or within reasonable driving distance)
Has experience in property management, maintenance, or a related trade
Bonus qualifications:
Experience with residential rental properties
Basic understanding of Ontario landlord/tenant practices
Experience coordinating contractors
Schedule
15–35 hours per week depending on season and workload
Flexible scheduling
Some occasional evening availability may be required for tenant matters
