Strategic Coordinator
Position information: 1-Year Contract, Full-Time, New Position
Deadline to apply: Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
Compensation: Hourly rate $34.47 to $42.36 (rates includes 10% in lieu of benefits) + 6% in lieu of vacation
Position Summary:
In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Protective Services to:
- Drive innovative public education and emergency management initiatives
- Oversee the growth and development of our regional training centre
- Build strong interagency partnerships that enhance community resilience
- Collect, analyze, and report data to identify local and provincial trends
Qualifications and Assets:
- OSSD with Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing would be preferred.
- Three-five years of progressive, responsible experience in fire services, emergency management, public safety or related field.
- NFPA 1035 (Public Education & Information).
- EM 200 Basic Emergency Management.
- EM300 Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
- Working knowledge of the Fire Prevention and Protection Act, Fire Code and Provincial and Federal Laws related to fire and emergency management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept in presentations.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, experience with GIS, Fire Pro and First Due would be considered an asset.
