Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lean Coordinator. The hourly rate for this position is $24.56 – $30.70 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

Eaton is seeking a Lean Coordinator for its Perth Plant. The Lean Coordinator position will be located in Perth, Ontario, Canada.

Position Overview :

Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, this position will be responsible for improving organizational effectiveness through use of Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for supporting all departments to achieve their goals regarding cost savings.
  • Participate in activities to improve Manufacturing/Business processes in management, the front office, and on the shop floor employees.
  • Lead and facilitate ELSS Value Steam Mapping (VSM), 5S+ and Standard Work events, structured problem-solving events, Kaizen Events/RIEs/BPIs, leveraging other Lean tools as needed.
  • Champion the Find-It Fix-It process including support of all areas in the plant in capturing improvements and monitoring progress.
  • Mentor other employees in the identification and elimination of waste, including training.
  • Serve as Lean Tool Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide expertise and support to other areas in the Lean tools.
  • Support the deployment of corporate driven ELSS initiatives, including PBA.
  • Lead activities to achieve a reduction in the elements of Cost of Non-Conformance – warranty, scrap, rework, reactive maintenance, premium freight and excess & obsolete inventory.
  • Closely work with LDP employees during their term to support them in achieving the goals and expectations when applicable.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment (5 years).
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma.
  • Experience with project management.
