Job Description

South Shore Residential Care provides residential support to adults living with developmental disabilities.
Our residents are very caring and considerate individuals. Some of our homes are situated on the water or
in a rural setting near Sharbot Lake, Ontario and offer immediate access to a variety of outdoor activities
including kayaking, fishing, swimming in the lake or pool and hiking on the trail. All residences are easily
accessible from Perth, Smiths Falls and Kingston.

We are seeking individuals who are compassionate and caring to assist our residents with their daily living
skills. Duties are related to assisting the residents with maintaining a home (cleaning, cooking, laundry,
etc.) as well as in a community setting (recreation, socialization, etc.). Training and mentoring will be
provided.

Responsibilities
· Support the activities of daily living including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, the use of
leisure time and safety issues where appropriate.
· Promote skill development in residents whenever possible.
· Perform other duties as related.

Requirements
· No formal education required but will be acknowledged. Training will be provided on site.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills combined with sound judgement.
· A valid G driving license with full driving privileges.
· Current certifications in First Aid, CPR and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

JOB TERMS: Days, Overnight, Evenings, Weekends
