Spring Orientation: Virtual AC Day 1

Find community and support at Virtual AC Day 1! Virtual social activities and workshops will be offered throughout the day from 8am-8:30pm for new and returning students at Ottawa, Perth, Pembroke and AC Online campuses. Register for Virtual AC Day 1 to take part in FREE activities and workshops.
New learners at Ottawa Campus: Besides taking part in fun and useful activities, be sure to join your Program Orientation to hear from your professors, learn about your program, meet your classmates, and ask questions along the way. Classes on Monday, May 10 are suspended until 1pm for new learners at the Ottawa campus so that you can take part in Virtual AC Day 1. After 1pm, please follow your regular timetable on ACSIS.
Returning learners at Ottawa Campus: You’re invited to relive AC Day 1! Or, if you missed out on AC Day 1 as a first-year student, now is your time to enjoy the free activities! Take this opportunity to learn new things, ask questions, and re-engage with your Algonquin College community. Please follow your regular timetable on ACSIS beginning on May 10 and join the sessions that work with your schedule. Don’t worry if you have a class conflict; most sessions will be recorded so you can watch at your convenience.
Perth/Pembroke/AC Online: Create your own Virtual AC Day 1 experience by choosing from online activities that interest you and suit your schedule! - Getting started with Brightspace and Zoom
- Booklist and course materials support session
- ITS network account support drop-in
- Virtual help desk
- Social Room where students can drop in to socialize and listen to live music
- Chill Zone with yoga, meditation, and journaling
- Crafts and chats with the Wellness and Equity Centre
- Coffee with Clubs and the Students’ Association Food Cupboard
- Virtual escape room to team up with other students
- Dirty Bingo with the Students’ Association
