Fall CAL Student Social – Exclusive Tour of the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre
Oct 19, 2022 - Oct 21, 2022
The Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) and the Students’ Association are offering an exclusive opportunity to CAL students this spring term. Join us for an in-person tour of the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).
Come and explore the brand-new ARC facilities on October 19, at 9:00am or October 21, at 3:00pm!
The ARC was built to create a welcoming environment where students of all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities can safely learn to own their health. Whether it’s your first or fiftieth time working out, there’s something in the ARC for you to discover – from fitness classes and intramurals to dining and live events.
As part of our ongoing mission to create safer spaces and to build a campus community where all students are fully supported, all washrooms in the ARC are all-gender. We also offer three locker rooms – one female, one male, and one all-gender, as well as individual changing spaces where members can change in private, then store their belongings in a locker.
Students will also have an opportunity to activate their gym membership at the beginning of the tour. Please complete the online waiver Waiver – Algonquin Students’ Association before the event and come prepared to take a photo for your gym ID. Activating your gym membership is an optional component of the event. However, we highly encourage participants to do so to start accessing the benefits of the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre.
Students are asked to check in at the Welcome Desk inside the main entrance of the ARC. Advanced registration is required.
Brought to you by the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) and your Algonquin Students’ Association.
